BEDROOM HEATER: All the heaters in this cabin work fine when the pilot light is on. The only reason why the pilot light would be off in the bedroom heater is when someone accidentally turns off the ON/OFF switch at the bottom of the master bedroom thermostat. A huge note is posted not to turn off the switch but for some reason, perhaps children of the guests or guest who failed to read the note first accidentally turns this switch off. Once the switch is turned off (and even switched back to the on position), the pilot light goes off and has to be manually lit. The guest with knowledge of this type of heater may light the pilot safely. However, for safety reasons, we recommend that once turned off, the living room heater be used to heat up the entire house with the bedroom doors open. Having the rental manager go out to the cabin to light the pilot will cost $60 per visit. So please do not turn the bedroom thermostat ON/OFF switch to OFF in order to avoid this dilemma. We will work on a solution to cover the bottom of the thermostat so that the guest do not accidentally turn off the switch to the pilot light.
